Is God dead? That’s the question debated in the new movie, God’s Not Dead. After viewing the movie, I think our capacity to believe may have to do with stones. Ones like the massive stone in front of Jesus’ tomb that we think of at Easter.
A New Beginning: Promise for Today
New Year? Or New Beginning? The start of a new year is not the only time for a new beginning. So is Springtime. About this time each year, my fingers itch to bury themselves in the fertile soil outside, planting new flowers. Only a few more weeks, and Winter will be past. I love Spring! But God’s promise is for anytime–and anyone! He loves for people to experience a new beginning with Him.

Encouragement for parents and grandparents is always a welcome thing. We’re concerned about making wise decisions, aren’t we? Are we giving our kids the right training? Fear may try to consume us. Are they being bullied? Are they safe enough? We all want our kids to “turn out right.” At one time or another, we may think we’re not doing “enough” to prepare our kids for life.
