A while back I had shared a “Day-votional Truth for the Day”: “Good news is hard to keep quiet.” I quoted the response of Peter and John after they had been asked by some Jewish religious leaders not to speak of Jesus again: “”Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about the wonderful things we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:19-20, NLT).
What Are God’s Plans for You?
God isn’t finished with you yet. There’s still hope for you.
Easter Is About Removing Stones
Is God dead? That’s the question debated in the new movie, God’s Not Dead. After viewing the movie, I think our capacity to believe may have to do with stones. Ones like the massive stone in front of Jesus’ tomb that we think of at Easter.
A New Beginning: Promise for Today
New Year? Or New Beginning? The start of a new year is not the only time for a new beginning. So is Springtime. About this time each year, my fingers itch to bury themselves in the fertile soil outside, planting new flowers. Only a few more weeks, and Winter will be past. I love Spring! But God’s promise is for anytime–and anyone! He loves for people to experience a new beginning with Him.
Where Is God’s Presence When You Need It?
Do you have trouble feeling God’s presence at times? When have you most felt God’s presence? I pray this poem will speak to your heart.
