The promise for today, waiting on God, has a condition: waiting. But finding strength for today–and tomorrow– is God’s promise. Here’s how waiting and strength are related:
Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14 NKJV
Waiting on God is not easy. My husband and I have often joked that we’ve spent the majority of our lives in God’s waiting room. The times I failed to wait proved disastrous. But always, without exception, He offers strength when we learn to wait on God.
Whether it’s waiting on God, for God, or with God, waiting is not passive. When God is leading, it’s always an adventure. With Him, it’s always worth the wait.
