Perfect is a matter of perspective.
I get it.
Every morning, I wake up refreshed. Okay, most mornings.
Same objectives. Same desires. Same hopes.
I want to be perfect.
In my thoughts. In my actions.
In my marriage. With my family and friends.
In my motives. In my prayers.
The right things. At the right time.
Wisdom…ah, yes, to act with wisdom, kindness, love.
Then life happens.
And not just before coffee.
Promises made. Promises broken
The phone rings. Breakfast burns.
Then He shows up.
Arms extend. I run.
But not away.
I run to Him.
Jesus is there.
He’s been there all along.
Love changes me
He’s perfect. I’m not.
But that’s okay.
His love covers all.
He sees me perfect.
And I get it
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17, NLT)
Love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8, NLT)
When life “happens,” how do you handle it? When was the last time Jesus covered you with His love? How does God’s view of you change your perspective?
