When peace is missing, where do you turn? Do you have peace in God and peace with God? Are you focusing on your circumstances or what’s happening in your world? Here are some helps to guide you back to peace.
Finding Rest, Safety, and Peace with God
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. (Psalm 4:8 NLT).
Finding Peace with God Through Trust and Faith
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. (Romans 5:1 TPT).
My Personal Prayer for You
Lord, many are struggling with problems piled up like mountainous snow drifts. The end seems far away, and they find no hope on the horizon. Help them to keep going, to keep looking up, to find rest and peace in You and with You. When they’re tempted to look at what’s happening in the world and become discouraged, remind them that You are still in control.
Warm cold hearts; thaw frozen spirits; calm anxieties and fears, meet our deepest needs as only You can. Thank You for loving us through every trial, every fear, and every doubt. Forgive us for looking elsewhere to find peace that never satisfies. Take fresh control of our lives, Lord. Fill every heart with new hope today that can only be found in You.
