Whether you’re single or married, you are not alone in your desire to be loved.
Valentine’s Day can bring a smile to the faces of those who feel loved, or a deep longing in the hearts of those who don’t.
The truth is, people spend a majority of their lives searching for love that won’t fail, but many never find it.
Do you want this kind of love? It’s the kind of love that will always be there for you.
It’s the Valentine God sends to your heart every day, every year, all of your life. God’s love is the kind that never fails.
What is it like?
Is it too good to be true?
Is it so hard to believe that you are loved, really loved by Him?
Read the short poem below.
Then listen to the powerful words of the song following the poem.
Will you embrace His love?
The Love That Will Always Be There
by
Rebecca Barlow Jordan
Do you question the one
who gave His own Son
To die, out of love for you?
Is it hard to believe,
hard to conceive–
something too good to be true?
You don’t understand–
it was always God’s plan;
He’s a good, good Father who knows
all you have done, and
all that you are,
Still, He’s waiting to draw you close.
You are loved; you are cherished,
a child fully blessed,
and His love can never compare.
So cry out to Jesus;
embrace Him today,
and His love that will always be there.
God’s Love Is Simple and Pure
Such a simple poem, but God’s love is such a simple, pure love–so simple even children can grasp it. HOUSEFIRES 11 recorded a song about this truth called, “Good, Good Father.” I hope you will take the time to listen to the words of this precious song. It has become one of my favorites. Truly, God’s love is amazing.
God’s Love in 1 John 3
I love this verse from 1 John 3:1 that sounds like that song, “Good, Good Father”:
What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it–we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are (1 John 3:1 MSG).
A Personal Prayer for You
Lord, You are indeed a good, good Father. Thank You that you love me with such a pure, unfailing love. Teach me how to love You and others more. I want Your kind of love–not just at Valentine’s Day, but forever!
Day-votedly Yours,
Rebecca
