The Potter’s Treasure
By

You are His special treasure,
once a broken piece of clay–
now shaped with care and fashioned
to His utmost perfection.
You are His pride and joy,
not a discarded toy from play–
but destined for His pleasure,
the prize of the Potter’s collection.

The Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession (Deuteronomy 14:2, NIV).
God Determined Your Worth Before Birth
How much are you worth in God’s eyes? Long before you were born, God answered that question. As the Master Potter, He knew you and determined your worth to Him. His workmanship of you is outstanding–marvelous, in fact. He watched you being formed and He wove every part of you together in the womb. He recorded every day of your life–past, present, and future–before your mom ever heard your first cry (from Psalm 139,). How does that make you feel?
And even in our broken lives, when worth plummeted in our eyes, God stooped down, reshaped the marred vessel into a work of His heart and declared, “It is good!” Because you are–and always will be–beautiful to Him.
You are indeed a treasure to God, a child of great worth. Celebrate every year, every day, every moment of your life in Christ!
My Personal Prayer for You
Father, thank you for letting us know how You feel about us over and over again in Your Word. We celebrate life. We celebrate our worth in Christ! We celebrate You, Lord. And for those who don’t yet know You, for those who can’t wrap their minds around how You feel about them, point them to the cross, Lord. Because of Your love for us–because You wanted all to be Your children, You gave Your Son to die for us. And those who believe, to those who will receive Jesus for themselves–can come to understand their full worth in You as Your children (John 1:12) Thank You for giving us worth and value. Thank you for loving us and caring for us enough to pick up the broken pieces of our lives and make them into something–and someone–beautiful for You. You are my greatest treasure, Lord!
Day-votedly Yours,
Rebecca
How Much Are You Worth?
How has God restored your worth? In what ways has He let you know you are a beautiful treasure to Him?
