Today is the 14th in a series of daily Christmas blogs: 25 Christmas Prayers celebrating the names of our precious Lord. Featured today is El Roi, The God Who Sees. I hope these simple prayer blogs will enrich your Christmas season and draw you closer to the One who is the true reason for Christmas.
Day 14 – El Roi, The God Who Sees
Lord, our finite minds can’t understand the heartaches of the world–the violence of crime, the illness that steals a loved one, the searing pain of separation and divorce. Yet as our El Roi, You see it all.
Nothing Escapes Your Eyes
You’ve told us that injustice has filled the world from the time sin first entered its gates. But You have not abdicated Your throne. You have not abandoned Your plans. Thank You that nothing escapes Your eyes. Your love for us has never changed.
As El Roi, You Will Make All Things Right
One day, all things will be made right. All scores will be settled. And although we may suffer wrongs, Lord, You did, too.
As El Roi, You see it all. You never sleep, and one day You will unravel the unsolved mysteries of our lives. You are always watching for those who will be faithful to You.
We Can Never Hide from You
This Christmas, we celebrate You as El Roi, the God Who Sees. We can never hide from You. Thank You for watching over us, and for never leaving us.
He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:3-4 NIV).
