Simple Things, Simple Thanks

Thanksgiving didn’t originate with man. Long before we were born, God set in motion a reason–and an opportunity–to give thanks. Throughout the Bible, God instructed His people to bring a “thanks” offering. Why give thanks? 1 Chronicles 16:24 says, Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

Give thanks for simple beauty, seen by eyes always looking:

Simple Things, Simple Thanks

Give thanks for simple creatures, all part of God’s design:

Simple Things, Simple Thanks

Give thanks for simple gifts, created by God’s own hand:

Simple Things, Simple Thanks

Give thanks for simple laughter, and the joy of children’s voices:

Simple Things, Simple Thanks

Give thanks for simple joys, bathed with family memories:

Simple Things, Simple Thanks

So many ways, so many things! (And not enough room in this blog for all the reasons and all the pictures.) Simple faith, amazing grace, unconditional love, complete forgiveness—all from the hand of a God who is good–all the time.

Simple things, simple thanks, for the One who gives us all good things to enjoy, who works out all things for our good, and who is good–because He is God! No matter what God sends or what He “allows,” giving thanks will change our lives. Give thanks, every day of the year! O give thanks to the Lord, for the He is good!

    It makes me wonder.
Why should it not be thank you God, every day.
From our hands, eyes, feet, etc.
Than from the water we drink and bathe in.
To a warm bed to sleep in.
    The list goes on.
If we look at others less fortunate we should be more humble and thank full.
We go to God when all is falling around us.
Yet do we go to him when life is better.
Do you like to be thanked ?
Imagine how much God would love to here this from each of us.
Expect a miracle they happen each second.
Look at what you have. Not what you do not.
