Do you have trouble feeling God’s presence at times? When have you most felt God’s presence? I pray this poem will speak to your heart.
Where Is God’s Presence?
By Rebecca Barlow Jordan
The unexpected happens.
Nerves fray.
Godly people pray.
We wait.
Answers are slow.
What do we do?
God, where are You?
We ask again.
Worry sets in.
Jesus, are you there?
Silence.
Tears form.
Hearts sigh.
Voices cry.
Jesus whispers.
“I’m here–
So very near.
Let me be
free to roam–
in your heart,
and in your home.”
Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong (Ephesians 3:17, TLB).
