My greatest fear used to be that somehow I would reach the end of my life and not fulfill God’s purpose for me–that I would miss too many opportunities to serve Him, or that I would fail to reach His potential for my life. But the promise in Philippians 1:6 settled that for me.
Promise for Today: Courage
Our convictions will be tested, and our faith will be sifted in times of difficulty. But God wants to give us courage and help us reach beyond ourselves to a strength that is greater than our own–moving from fear to faith.

A mother’s hands tell a story. The picture above shows my mother’s hands on her 90th birthday. She was a skilled musician, and her amazing hands filled her home with music even in the last years of her life. Six words that described her hands: Youthful, Busy, Talented, Serving, Caring, Generous.
