I’ve listed some good book reads today, along with multiple book giveaways. I love to give away books. So today, I’m giving away three (3) books. Three people have a chance to enter the giveaway.
I believe good books still change lives. They can encourage, challenge, inspire, entertain, teach, and so much more. I write books, but I also love to read them–for those same reasons. Jesus used story–parables–often to convey truth. Here are a few of the Christian fiction books I’ve read in the last few months and can recommend to you:
Undetected, Unspoken, Taken – three of Dee Henderson’s books. If you like romantic suspense, you’ll enjoy her books. Dee is one of my favorite romantic suspense writers.
Heaven Sent Rain – a delightful fiction tale by Lauraine Snelling. involving a boy and his dog. Loved it! Good book read.
The Auschwitz Escape and The Third Target, by Joel Rosenberg – The first book deals with the Holocaust; the second novel so contemporary, you’ll feel like you’re reading today’s (or tomorrow’s) newspaper. Joel’s books are all page turners.
Once Upon a Prince – a fun, storybook romance by Rachel Hauck involving a prince and an unlikely “princess” – first in her Royal Wedding Series.
Angels Walking – Karen Kingsbury‘s inspirational fiction about God’s divine intervention – a fascinating book. Chasing Sunsets is the another great book in her series as well. I always enjoy Karen’s books.
Crossing Oceans and Dry as Rain – two older novels by an author I’ve just discovered: Gina Holmes. Gina writes of flawed people in an imperfect world who find help from a perfect God. A good writer. Planning to read her other books soon.
Remember the Lilies – the third novel I’ve read by Liz Tolsma, all set in World War II era. Her book is one I’m featuring in the book giveaway today. Have enjoyed all her books.
Against the Wind and When Jesus Wept, two new biblical fiction stories by my favorite historical fiction writers Brock and Bodie Thoene. I think I’ve read almost every book they have written. Still to read: Take This Cup and Behold the Man.
Home to Chicory Lane – first in a series by Deborah Raney, one of my favorite inspirational romance writers and have read most of her books. I featured her in an interview several weeks ago. Today, I’m offering another copy of this book in our giveaway. Be sure and follow the rest of her series.
Hearts Stolen and Hope Reborn – by Caryl McAdoo in her Texas Romance series – a couple of historical romances I enjoyed.
Hidden by Vannetta Chapman – first in her Jacobs series, an inspirational romantic suspense novel – I’ve read others by Vannetta and like her writing.
Do You Believe – by Travis Thrasher – a faith-stirring novelization of the movie by the same name.
This is not a complete list, and I know I’m probably leaving some out. Some I enjoyed more than others, but I consider these all good book reads.
Three Books for Giveaway Drawing
As I mentioned, I’ll give away a copy of Remember the Lilies and another copy of Home to Chicory Lane. And while it’s an older book, some of you might not have seen or read a copy of one of my 40 Days devotionals. So for the third book, I’m also giving away a copy of my 40 Days in God’s Presence, a Devotional Encounter.
The book giveaway has ended.
