I fell in love with books and words about the same time as I fell in love with Jesus–as an elementary school girl. But it was after I received my MRS degree and my PHT (putting hubby through) that I knew God wanted me to write. I love sharing heart to heart encouragement with others just like you!
As an inspirational author of 11 books and over 1700 devotionals, articles, and greeting cards, I feel so blessed to be writing for over 30 years now. In fact, I’ve always loved writing so much, that I used to feel guilty for getting paid for it. I got over that.
In my blogs, sometimes I’m a literary fool as I try to wax eloquent with inspirational prose or poetry. Other times I morph into a mentor with years of marriage, family, ministry, and writing experience (and hopefully wisdom) as I try to encourage and inspire others in those areas. Here, you’ll even find a book review or a great giveaway.
But most of the time I write about faith and the spiritual life. I enjoy helping others see God bigger–through His names and character–and trying to lead readers towards greater intimacy with Him. I try to fill my blogs with the same kind of encouragement that fill my devotions and books.
If through my blogs, articles, greeting cards, or inspirational books I can inspire you to write more purposefully, to live life joyfully, to love others sincerely, and to pursue Christ passionately, then my “mission” will be accomplished.
I’m also a minister’s wife who’s still madly in love with my husband (my high school sweetheart), a mom of two wonderful daughters and sons-in-law, and a Mimi of four precious grandchildren. I love gardening, photography, fishing with my husband, spending time with family, and reading great fiction.
Readers from over 174 countries/territories have visited my e-home! I’m so glad you’re one of them! Here are a few of my most popular blog posts. Some have also appeared on crosswalk.com.
I invite you to walk through the pages of my blogs—and my books. While you’re here, I hope you’ll find plenty of heart to heart encouragement. I blog early in the week, usually on Monday. You can sign up for my blogs and newsletters each week by RSS or choose e-mail (on my website side-bar) so you can also receive my updates, contests, and specials. If you’d like, you can check out my books.
More than anything, I want this e-home to be your home–less about me, more about you, and all about Him! Whether you’re single, married, young or old, this is my prayer for you:
“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word” (2 Thessalonians 3:18 NIV).
You’ll find my contact info here. I love hearing from readers!
