When You’re Craving God
and His Blessing

Your hands work harder; your body testifies.
But each day spells the same; there is no surprise.
Yet deeper inside a craving grows.
You want more, so much more, in your life. No one knows
the struggles you face, the battles you lose.
But there’s Someone who cares, Someone who woos
your heart, soul, and body; His blessing is yours.
While you’re searching for more, He’s opening doors.
And He’s always been there, waiting for you,
craving your fellowship, to bless you, too,
with joy unspeakable, a deep, settled peace,
and a future with Him that will never cease.
He’s blessed you with every spiritual blessing.
His love makes it all, yours for possessing.
Reach out, take His hand and be still for a while.
He’ll transform your worries and give you a smile.
What you need most is God Himself,
He’s already placed you on the top of His shelf,
to show you off, His most prized possession—
so He can become your Magnificent Obsession.
Just remember this when you’re longing for Him,
God will always be Who He’s always been:
your faithful Father, the Great I am,
your Savior and Counselor, the Perfect Lamb.
He’s your Blessed Controller, Messiah, and King,
the One Who will always make your heart sing.
He’s the Much More you’re craving; His grace will suffice.
Just to know Him and love Him is worth any price.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure (Ephesians 1:3-5, NLT).
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God (Psalm 42:1-2, NIV).
“Come to me and I will give you rest—all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear my yoke—for it fits perfectly—and let me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls; for I give you only light burdens,” (Matthew 11:28, TLB).
