There are doors we enter and doors we exit. Which doors in life do we need to open that will contribute most to our success as a Christian?

When our recent home remodeling eliminated the door in this photo, I grabbed it for re-purposing, thinking it would make wonderful yard art for my back yard. But that door soon took on a deeper meaning.

There are doors we enter and doors we exit. We’ll find open doors and closed doors. But which doors should we open that will contribute most to our success as a Christian? I thought of at least five kinds of doors (and there are so many more) we all need and want in our lives.

In honor of Mother’s Day approaching, I want to applaud mothers and the sweet tireless work they do. Here’s a simple parallel from  nature that demonstrates so well the efforts of motherhood.

Every year a robin, cardinal, or blue-jay builds its nest somewhere in our back yard. But this is the first time I’ve ever watched its “family” grow. This is the first time a bird has ever nested on top of one of our gutters, protected under the eaves of the house.
