Rebecca Barlow Jordan
| Rebecca is a best-selling author and
inspirational speaker who loves to share reflections from the Father’s
heart at conferences, retreats, churches, and special women’s events.
Her newest book is 40 Days in God’s Blessing, (FaithWords,
2006), the latest in her
40-day devotional series. The series kicked-off with 40 Days in God’s
Presence: a Devotional Encounter, (Warner Faith Publishing,
2006). She also authored the best-selling Daily
in Your Presence and Daily in Your Image, (click
for details), (Barbour Publishing, 2002), which was released in a large
gift-boxed journal edition in October 2003, as well as At Home in
My Heart, Preparing a Place for His Presence (Promise Press,
2001). With four other “hen” friends, Becky Freeman, Susan Duke, Gracie Malone, and Fran Sandin, Rebecca co-authored the Courage for the Chicken Hearted and Eggstra Courage for the Chicken Hearted series which has sold over 150,000 copies (Honor Books), has been translated in Korean, and published as a hardback collector edition for Guideposts. In addition, Rebecca and her husband wrote Marriage Toners, Weekly Exercises to Strengthen Your Relationship, and she has contributed to eight other books, including In the Garden with God, Christmas with God, Intimate Moments with God, and Intimate Encounters with God. |

You may have seen one of Rebecca’s inspirational greeting cards in Christian bookstores or gift shops. She has sold over 1600 greeting cards, stories, devotionals, poems, calendars, and articles to publications such as Home Life, Discipleship Journal, Family Circle, Marriage Partnership, Focus on the Family. Rebecca also authored a series of children’s devotionals and a 365-day calendar, In His Image. Rebecca married Larry, her teenage sweetheart. She has been teaching Bible studies since their first country church over thirty years ago (home of “Miz Gordy” and the source of many lighthearted—and chickenhearted episodes.) Rebecca also teaches at writers' conferences and has worked with women’s ministry and discipleship. She and Larry, an Associate Pastor, share their passion for marriage as they lead marriage enrichment retreats. They have two married daughters and sons-in-law and two grandchildren. Rebecca has been a newspaper columnist and church deaf interpreter and has won two American Christian Writer’s Awards. She is a Speak Up graduate (Carol Kent), a member of AWSA (Advanced Writers and Speakers Association) and WIN (Writers Information Network), and has been interviewed on national radio and television stations such as At Home Live and US Radio Network Stations. As an independent beauty consultant, Rebecca also loves to share with women how they can be God’s beautiful reflections inside and out.
